The LL Picaficathon works like this: Each participating writer will be assigned a minimum of three (but no more than five) screen captures from any episode of Gilmore Girls. They will then write their story around those images. Think of them as visual keywords that must be included. (You know, like those other challenges where someone suggests three words: dog, thunder and serendipity, and the author must include them).

Here's the official stuff:

Please be sure to at least provide a full web address (it doesn't have to be hyperlinked if you don't know how - just copy and paste) for each of your image selections. It will make it easier on all of us is the images are easy to locate. Also, I'm not screening the comments so that you can all check what images have already been used. Please try to choose something original. We all know that the naked Luke from WITS is a popular choice, but please try to only use it once. Note that this is a Luke/Lorelai ficathon, so image choices should reflect that.

2. The registration period begins today, November 14th, and will continue until Friday, December 16th. I will then collate the submissions and start handing out assignments as soon as I can.

3. Stories must be posted between January 15th and January 22, 2006. That will give everyone over a month to work on their stories. Stories may be posted on Livejournal, BWR or Lukewarm. Please do not supply a fanfiction.net link.

4. If you need to pull out of the ficathon for any reason or you don't think your story will be finished on time, please let me know asap so that I can organise a replacement or let the requester know that there will be a delay.

5. Story length must be a minimum of 1000 words.

Hopefully I've covered everything. This is a general ficathon, so there is no expectation on the rating. However, if you want to write smut, go right ahead. Just remember to make note of the rating when positing your story.
